The Brenez workshops
The Brenez workshops began by repairing and then developing equipment for the porphyry quarries around Lessines, Belgium.
1954
The workshop become ALC division of Lessine
With no successors, Mr. Brenez sold the business to Ateliers Louis Carton, a leading supplier to the cement industry, creating the ALC Lessine division.
1970
Creation of Ateliers de Lessine SA
Ateliers Louis Carton in Tournai (Belgium) was acquired by the Polysius group (Germany). The Carton family retained the Lessines division, leading to the creation of Ateliers de Lessine SA as an independent entity.
1972
BOP HAREN
Ateliers de Lessine acquired the grinding operations of BOP HAREN in Brussels, adding the renowned centrifugal grinders to its range.
1989
Foundation of Lessine Industrie SA
Focused on bulk processing solutions, Lessine Industries SA was founded by René Rubbers, leading to a split between the design office and manufacturing workshop. The company moved to Tournai.
1993
Lessine Industries
Lessine Industries acquired the operations of the Swiss shredder manufacturer, Gutba.
2003
France branch
The Lessine Industries France branch was established.
2013
Moving
The offices of Lessine Industries relocated to Péruwelz.
2015
The company was taken over by Stéphane Rubbers and Sébastien Heymans.
The new test facility was inaugurated, marking a key milestone in our commitment to innovation and quality.
The commercial name changed to “Lessine.”
The independent entity Lessine France was established.

Acquisition of BHIL SA
Acquisition of BHIL SA, adding continuous ball mills to our product line.
